After much consideration, I've decided to try this for the first time. I have no idea what to expect, but it will be a learning experience no matter what. I was prodded by online friends as well as the librarians at the library I volunteer at. So here's to a novel in the month of November.
For anyone who isn't doing this, what do you have to loose?
For those who are participating, Writing Friends?
This is my first year too! I'm lauraeno over there, if you want to buddy me. What is your name there?
ReplyDeleteI signed up as TrinityWolf99. Haven't had time to run around the site yet. Will spend my weekend doing that.
ReplyDeleteYay, Nanowrimo! Hey, maybe you should get your kids to play along too. Then it could count as school and stuff. (joy of homeschooling! ;))
ReplyDeleteAnyway, have fun! This is my third year. totally hooked. I'm charisangel over there... adding you as a writing buddy!
Congratulations! NaNo is certainly a learning experience, at the very least.
ReplyDeleteI am Tony Noland over on NaNo. The way my November is shaping up, I'm hoping for the best.
Jen and Tony,
ReplyDeleteAt least I know I'm in good company. Fingers crossed I don't drive myself (and the family) insane while doing this.
Good idea, Jen. Maybe next year, this year is for me to figure it all out. They don't do well with their daily creative essays (1 handwritten page) or their reports (3 handwritten pages)-- by next year they have to do longer ones, which I could make this a requirement. Thanks for the idea!
Happy writing to everyone.
